Boyhood
friends form partnership and create one of the fastest growing
companies in the Philadelphia region.
Dan
Cronin and Rob Molinaro met in homeroom, freshman year at Paramus
Catholic High School in North Jersey. The two became good friends
right from the start.
Dan
and Rob maintained their strong bond even when Dan went off to
college at Duquesne University and Rob went to Iona College.
After
graduation, both kicked around jobs for a while until Dan was
recruited by the telecommunications company ATI to open and run
their new Philadelphia office.
Immediately,
Dan's first call was to his high school buddy Rob. While they
never planned on working together, both new it was the "right
fit."
After
putting in time with ATI, the duo jumped to other telecom firms,
always traveling as a "package deal," learning along
the way that, like Lennon and McCartney, their talents and skills
meshed well, bringing out the best in each other.
In
1994, they made the bold decision to branch out of their own and
form Chorus Communications. In early 1995, with only $10,000 in
savings, and a lot of antacid, the pair started small –
a home office out of Rob's King of Prussia area apartment, a guitar
case being Rob's first desk.
Within
two years, they had grown Chorus into a multi-million dollar company
– and one of the fastest growing companies in the Delaware
Valley.
Today,
the two are still best friends and Chorus Communications continues
to grow and evolve in the constantly changing world of telecom
services.
